I've decided not to race in this and help promote a newer 2o4f member in his first hosted series. have fun guys. How do you know when we're racing? Even I don't know when it is. What if there's no conflict?

Hey, would you consider adding Long Beach to the calendar? I think the track would work well with slower cars. Also we haven't done Catalunya in a long time so might want to consider it as well. And have you decided which track variants you are going to use? for example, is Hockenheim the full circuit? I considered all tracks. I tend to pick the ones that produce the best racing in the past. As far as variants, no I'm not sure what we're using. Some tracks we'll use the full circuit, and some we'll use the short. I want there to be a pretty even split between small and big tracks.

I know it's going to be sundays for sure. And I assume you will be starting it pretty soon since my WeatherTech series ends in 2 weeks. I will keep an eye on the schedule to see if it conflicts or not, but I am taking an outside-in approach since blkghost is ready with his series.

When it comes time, do the team cars have to have different paint schemes or can they be all painted the same just be numbered for the corasponding driver? The last time around the cars for a team were all painted the same with varying color accents. Mirror color, splitter color, windshield banner color accents to easily distinguish different cars on a team. Similar to the practices typically seem with team cars in road racing series. I imported all the paints I did to FM7 so you could look at a lot of the eligible cars to see what we were doing. Some cars roofs can't be painted so the windshield banners sometimes were at the bottom of the windshield. Some cars have unpaintable mirrors. But in general we tried to create a few coordinated accents.

I did some testing on Suzuka full circuit with about half of the cars. I Built each car to the rules and maximized tire width and tried to get the car as light as possible before adding power to get to PI. I tuned each car with max downforce.
Suzuka Times Cars in red have not yet been tested Notes are in italics
2013 Abarth Punto SuperSport - 2:21.830
2002 Acura RSX Type-S - 2:20.709
2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde - 2:21.401
2015 Audi S1 - 2:21.966
- The car had very good handling compared to the other cars but not much power. It also had tons of under steer that I just couldn't get out of the car. I looked at the tire grip in telemetry to see what % of max load the rear tires were at in corners and I was routinely seeing about 400% without a hint of slip angle. Not sure what that means. Overall the car was slow and would need to try a build with more power to see if it improves.
2013 Dodge Dart GT - 2:21.918
2003 Ford Focus RS - 2:22.084
2014 Honda Civic Si - 2:21.321
2019 Hyundai Veloster Turbo -
2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe -
2010 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3 -
2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG - AWD 2:22.5
RWD 2:20.96
- I tested the car with RWD as well since I knew Yan was thinking about running this car that way. The car is able to become much lighter and have more power at the same PI, making the RWD version much faster. I was also able to make the RWD version handle as good or better than the AWD version basically everywhere.
2012 MINI John Cooper Works GP -
2015 Nissan IDx NISMO -
2011 Peugeot 308 GTI -
2010 Renault Megane RS 250 -
2013 Subaru BRZ - 2:19.758
- Fastest time, had about 240 hp and was very light, beat all the other cars in the corners. May want to consider a minimum weight or minimum HP in order to prevent this car from dominating on some tracks.
2012 Vauxhall Astra VXR - 2:21.216
2011 Volkswagen Scirocco R - 2:20.714
I shared my tunes so anyone can try them if they want. I found that my FWD tunes are a handful until you get some temp in the rear tires, especially if you do a standing start that gets the front tires up to temp right away. First gear might be odd since I was throwing these together really quickly.

I got some tunes for the Mini. I'll look for them and let you know what I find. Diablo helped with the tunes for Sedlom and I.

I still am in the process of building and tuning the cars, and I simply haven't had the time to dedicate to it like in the past. By the time I'm finished, it'll be warm outside and participation will drop. This could end up running in the Fall. Maybe not, we'll see what interest is like once I'm finished. In the meantime, I think most people are running with the 2O4F group.

Yeah, 2o4f has taken some of the guys from this group for awhile now. Whenever touring cars get done though, I will make sure we don't overlap too much. Like having you guys in our races, but don't want to steal from your races. If you get dates fixed, just ping me on the discord, and I can work on adjusting our schedule a bit. I know I want to do the 2.5L cars soon, and readjust the GT3/Prototypes for the fall and run a Euro track series.

I have just finished the TORA GT-300 series, and the build requirements seem similar to that. the max PI was 620, before the one BOP; 300 max hp, 2500-2700 weight, and similar mandatory parts.
